How many times do we see people who desperately need God and just past them by?? We might feel bad for a minute or two but then we go off on our own way and not really care. We see these broken people and assume that some else is going to take care of them for us. But what if… What if you were the last person that walks by before they put a gun to their head? You could be someone’s last hope of hearing about Jesus, and most of us just throw that away as we live in our own little worlds.
Then there are others who feel bad enough for them so they at least pray, which is better than nothing, but if someone needs to hear the message we need to start stepping up and giving it to them. I know in my life I need to work on this too. Jesus tells us that we are supposed to love everyone, even the ones who hurt us. That includes the people we see who are broken and in need of hope. God called us to go into the world fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 18:18-28), if we are too afraid to go up and talk these people, that will never happen.
A song that I was listening to today is called “I Refuse” by Josh Wilson. This song pretty much says that to him sitting around and letting someone else do his job isn’t ok. It his way of saying that he is going to step up and start reaching out to the people who are in need. I think that this song is a great inspiration. I want to make my life one that brings glory to God. I am taking his words to heart, and I am making this song the song of my life. Because I REFUSE TO WAIT ANOTHER DAY TO DIE TO MYSELF
its funny how God works….and only Wayne and Jenna are gonna understand the context of that…….
